A ceremonial groundbreaking held on Tuesday, March 13th was the latest milestone to bring much-needed affordable senior living to Joplin, Missouri. With construction equipment moving dirt in the background, a group of Joplin city officials, community leaders and local political figures, along with Kevin & Jenny Parker of Parker Development and Scott Rosemann and Michael Gaillard of Rosemann & Associates, P.C., gathered to celebrate the future site of this $9.4 million senior living community at the corner of S. Cunningham Avenue and W. 26th Street.

To help make the community a reality, the development is being financed in-part by the allocation of $1.6 million in both state and federal low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC) from the Missouri Housing Development Commission. Memorial Hills will be designed and built by an expert project team including Parker Development, Fairway Management, Inc. and Rosemann & Associates, P.C.

Memorial Hills innovative and purposeful design will include 54 spacious one- and two-bedroom apartment homes, abundant natural lighting, and relaxing outdoor walking trails and green spaces, all set to enhance greater social engagement, emotional wellness and physical fitness of the residents.

The community’s amenity-rich environment will offer:

  • Computer lab
  • Library
  • Community room
  • Fitness center
  • Billiard room
  • Energy efficient appliances
  • On-site property management office

Congratulations to Rosemann & Associates, P.C.’s Kansas City team: Scott Rosemann, Michael Gaillard, Stephanie Stone, Tony DiMartino, and Jonathan Crank!
