Recent University of Colorado-Boulder graduate, Lena Scrivanich, is excited to begin her architecture career with Rosemann and Associates.  Originally, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Lena made her way to Colorado by way of Sonoma, California.  Along with studying architecture, Lena also minored in 3D modeling and animation. She first began designing buildings as a child using video games as her platform.

In school Lena, designed an Alaskan community center in conjunction with an airport terminal located on the Kenai Peninsula.  The purpose in the design was to have a place for the community to connect with each other and the outside world.  Lena is looking forward to learning how architecture firms work and expanding her design experience.    In her free time, Lena enjoys snowboarding in the winter, camping, and hiking in the warmer months. In addition, for several years she has ended her day with yoga, which has changed her life for the positive.

Kansas City’s newest employee, Mary Rogers, joined us after completing her Master of Architecture from the University of Kansas. Mary was born in Kansas City, but grew up in Huntsville, Alabama; there she cultivated her love for math and art. In high school, Mary thought she would end up being an artist, but found architecture allowed her to utilize both of her interests.

In 2011 Mary received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Fairmont State University in Fairmont, West Virginia. After graduation, Mary attended the University of Kansas Master of Architecture program and moved to Lawrence. After graduation, Mary worked for BRR Architecture and gained hands on experience.

In her free time, Mary enjoys tackling large projects, currently she is working on recovering her great-great grandmother’s parlor furniture.

Rosemann staff joined Dalmark Development Group, Kansas City Sustainable Development Partners, The Mission Bank, Bank of Lee’s Summit, CRA Investments, and Straub Construction Company in celebrating the opening of West Hill – an upscale redevelopment of the historic Swinney School sporting a new addition that complements the existing architecture and neighborhood.

A Missouri native, Zachary Arand, grew up in Valley Park, outside of St. Louis. He received a Masters of Architecture from University of Kansas and there he participated in an internship in the Philippines, where his mother’s family is from.  There he helped oversee the restoration of the Malate Church located in Manila, Philippines. Through his internship, he was able to assist with the restoration of the exterior stones of the ancient church.  This project paired well with Zachary’s belief that buildings are works of art and that restoration and preservation are essential. After graduation in 2013 Zachary accepted a position with B & A Architecture and there gained hands on project experience working with clients, contractors and consultants.

In his free time, Zachary enjoys spending time with his Great Dane, Freyja, running and playing piano. Welcome Zachary!

Our newest member of the Rosemann team, Marcia Trein hails from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Before pursuing a career in architecture, Marcia received two undergraduate degrees in ceramics and art education. Utilizing her art education, Marcia taught grade school art at an American school in Rio de Janeiro.  In 2007 she decided to work towards her dream of becoming an architect. She enrolled in the undergraduate architecture, urban planning, and interior design program at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Close to the completion of her degree in 2010, Marcia learned that her husband’s company was transferring him to Kansas City. Before she could agree to this new life in Kansas City Marcia had two requests, that she would be able to finish her architecture degree and that her two cats Merlin and Nimue would join them in the States.
