Rosemann designed the historic preservation and conversion of this 8 story building in Kansas City’s Garment District into 130 market rate apartments in 2013. Rosemann was instrumental in assisting the owner in securing financing through our experience with HUD.
The design includes two commercial spaces on the 1st floor, resident storage, a fitness center, theater room and a community room in the basement. The upper floors contain one and two bedroom apartments. The design took full advantage of the existing structure by exposing the timber framing and brick walls. A one of a kind light fixture was designed to light the center atrium that rises through the entire center of the building to a skylight.
