Joplin, MO: On August 27, the doors of Memorial Hills, Joplin, Missouri’s newest Senior Living Community, were opened to the public during its Grand Opening Celebration.
A group of Joplin city officials, community leaders and local political figures, along with Kevin & Jenny Parker of Parker Development and Scott Rosemann and Michael Gaillard of Rosemann & Associates, P.C., gathered to celebrate the opening of this $9.4 million beautiful facility at the corner of S. Cunningham Avenue and W. 26th Street. Guests enjoyed a progressive array of food and beverages while touring the community.
Memorial Hills innovative and purposeful design includes 54 spacious one- and two-bedroom apartment homes, a severe weather room, abundant natural lighting, and relaxing outdoor walking trails and green spaces, all set to enhance greater social engagement, emotional wellness and physical fitness of the residents.
To help make this affordable independent senior living community a reality, the development was financed in-part by the allocation of $1.6 million in both state and federal low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC) from the Missouri Housing Development Commission. Memorial Hills enlisted the services and expertise of Parker Development, Fairway Management, Inc., Fairway Construction Co., Rosemann & Associates, P.C., and PKMR Engineers.
