Denver, CO: A big welcome to Felipe Medrano who recently joined our Denver office as Staff Engineer. He is a graduate of the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and an emphasis on Structural Engineering. As a bilingual motivated team player, he is a welcome addition to our team.
Felipe started his career as a truss/building designer and brings over several years of design experience ranging from small residential additions, single family homes, commercial buildings up to large multifamily buildings. His truss/building design skills include the design of wood structural members, drafting of floor and roof layouts, as well as 3D modeling.
He also brings 5+ years of structural engineering experience with new-build residential projects, residential remodels, and forensic projects. His structural engineering design includes truss repairs, foundation repair, residential additions, single-family tract homes, custom homes, and multifamily buildings. Over his career, he obtained valuable project management skills and CA experience.
At Rosemann, Felipe performs structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience. He also researches design options and documents findings, develops probable construction cost estimates and coordinates work with the architectural team.
Felipe’s many software and technical skills include Risa 3D/2D, Tekla Tedds, Revit structural (3D modeling), Auto CAD (2D modeling), Weyerhaeuser Forte and Mitek.
In his free time, Felipe loves hiking, biking, camping, fishing, and, most of all, spending valuable time with his wife and 4-year-old daughter.
