Rosemann & Associates, P.C.’s Atlanta staff wanted a chance to do something hands on to make an impact with the fight against hunger in their community. They had the perfect opportunity to do just that on September 6th when they joined with members of The Circle of Trust, Atlanta’s commercial real estate networking group, to volunteer at the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s Product Rescue Center. During their three-hour shift, they contributed to salvaging 15,329 pounds of food and produced 11,662 meals for distribution to needy Atlanta area residents.
Each year, the Atlanta Community Food Bank works with more than 600 non-profit partners- including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters and senior centers – to distribute over 60 million meals to more than 755,000 people in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia. In turn, these partner agencies provide food and other critical resources for low-income Georgia residents who suffer from hunger and food insecurity.
“This was a unique experience to work side by side with daily volunteers who dedicate countless hours throughout the year to the Atlanta Community Food Bank. It was a fantastic way for the Rosemann team to make a positive difference. Giving back feels good,” said Benjamin Mahala of Rosemann’s Atlanta office. Joining Ben were co-workers Kyle Campbell and Tracie Cabler.
