Project Manager

Edward W. English

As Project Manager, Edward balances the practicality and affordability of design. He envisions options and ideas to synergize with the surrounding environment and incorporates human scale, visibility, pedestrian approach, signage, wayfinding, and urban infill to reflect and respect the historic integrity of buildings.

Over the past 20 years, Edward has led the design through construction of multiple project types, including commercial, historic, multifamily, senior housing, and community-activity facilities. Many of Edward’s projects include City, State, and Federal financing. Skilled at understanding the requirements and review timelines for various agencies and incorporating the client’s needs into the design, Edward’s excellent communication and project management skills enable him to create functional and appealing facilities that meet schedule and budget.

Edward received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Nebraska in 1989, completed his Foreign Studies at Kings College, London, England in 1987, and is the former Chairmen of Young Architect Forum in Kansas City.

Fun Fact

My favorite quote is:

“The door handle is the handshake of the building. ” Juhani Pallasmaa

Notable Projects

Michael Gaillard, Assoc. AIA

As a Project Manager with many years experience of managing teams, from project start to finish, clients can expect Michael to act as a nurturing facilitator between project team and client. He works closely with both to ensure acute attention to detail and that client input is met.

Michael specializes in affordable housing design and is adept at both rehabilitation/renovation and new design, maximizing LIHTC credits and alternative affordable housing funding.

He also embraces new technology and, using the latest vector technology, operates virtually paper-free, befitting clients and project budgets with efficiency, waste reduction, and by setting a sustainability example for the industry.

Fun Fact

I partied my way out of Mizzou in 1992 and found myself teaching there as an Adjunct Professor in 2002. A special thanks to the Sigma Chi house, the US Navy and a less than average vetting process at the University of Missouri.
