Senior Leadership

John Hundley, AIA, LEED AP

John Hundley, AIA, LEED AP joined Rosemann as the Atlanta Studio Director in May 2022, where he leads the day-to-day operations of the Atlanta team. John completed his degree in Architecture from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and became a licensed architect in Tennessee in 1994.

John brings over 32 years of experience as a senior level architect with a genuine passion for design and a history of working for several national firms from Memphis and Dallas to Atlanta. He has significant project experience in a combination of mixed-use/office, assisted living, healthcare and historic renovations. His work has helped to transform campuses and neighborhoods and contributed to revitalizing cities.

As Atlanta Studio Director at Rosemann, John operates on multiple fronts overseeing all phases of the design process through construction administration. His experience with Integrated Project Delivery allows John to effectively coalesce the design team, construction professionals and clients. John encourages agency and new ideas in his team and is dedicated to innovative problem solving, and design excellence. He is a client advocate and relationship steward and believes in guiding the operations of a studio, both in the mentorship and development of staff, as well as fiscal oversight.

John is active in professional and civic affairs by donating his time to the AIA, Rotary International, Habitat for Humanity and his Neighborhood Association Board.

John’s numerous interests outside the office include mountain biking, snow skiing, coaching his kid’s sports teams, cooking, fitness training, sports and golf.  He is a big Atlanta Braves and Tennessee Volunteers fan. 

Fun Fact

I was my college fraternity’s president. Also, I designed a hospital in Saudi Arabia and our design build partner was Osama Bin Laden’s family’s construction company.  I got to meet Sheik Saad Bin Laden, Osama’s brother, at their Riyadh home twice for design reviews.  It was noted we were likely under surveillance during our meeting!

Jennifer Waldman

PROFILE

Jennifer Waldman joined our Kansas City location in February 2022 as Staff Accountant and was quickly promoted to Business Manager. At Rosemann, Jennifer plays a pivotal role in financial accounting, reporting, and analysis, payroll review and oversight, banking and taxes, and corporate compliance. Jennifer is a graduate of The University of Kansas.

EXPERIENCE

Jennifer has many years of accounting experience and is equipped with the knowledge and expertise necessary for her evolving responsibilities. She brings a fresh perspective to Rosemann’s business operations.

Fun Fact

My favorite pastime outside of the office is vegetable gardening.

Gabe Vogl, NCARB, RA

Gabe is a senior architectural project manger with designs and enhanced by prior experience in a variety of roles in the design and construction industry from technical design to construction administration. He is equally comfortable with renovations of existing buildings as he is with new facilities. Gabe also focuses on resident-driven design for senior living facilities, assisted living/memory care, conversions of historic buildings, multi-family facilities, dormitories, educational facilities and commercial facilities.

Gabe is a National Council of Architectural Registration board member and a member of the Society of American Military Engineers. He served on the board of the Raytown Planning and Zoning Commission from 2007-2011. Gabe’s career in architecture began in 2003 after graduation from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Architecture.

Fun Fact

I was a Chief’s fan before Patrick Mahomes.

Dave Hendrikse, AIA

As Vice President, Dave is responsible for coordinating and integrating the requirements for architecture, interior design, mechanical, plumbing, structural, and electrical systems for cost effective, functional facilities in a diversity of project delivery methods. He also leads the quality control reviews of project documents for the company.

His experience in specific market types includes multi-family, senior living, commercial, fleet maintenance facilities, warehouse/distribution, manufacturing facilities, educational facilities, (public, private, secondary, and university), industrial facilities, and government/military projects. Dave also has specialized expertise in the design of cold storage facilities with multiple temperature zones.

Dave began his professional career in architecture in 1985 after receiving two degrees from the University of Kansas where he holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architectural Engineering from the School of Engineering. He is a licensed architect in the state of Missouri. In his free time, Dave enjoys helping to grant wishes to sick children through the Make-a-Wish foundation.

Fun Fact

I still believe I am in my mid-twenties even when my body tries to tell me differently and can be found out on the softball fields playing 70 plus games of senior softball each year with guys from 50 to 80 years of age. I also serve on the Kansas City Metro Senior Softball League’s Board of Directors.

Jarrett Cooper, AIA, LEED AP

Jarrett serves as Vice President of Rosemann & Associates, P.C., maintaining a Jarrett R. Cooper, AIA, LEED AP, serves as Vice President of Rosemann & Associates, P.C., where he maintains a collaborative relationship with clients and oversees day-to-day operations. He began his architectural career with Rosemann & Associates, P.C., in 1988, and in 1999, he opened Rosemann’s St. Louis Design Studio. Under his leadership, this location has thrived, playing an integral role in the development and revitalization of communities throughout the region and beyond. Jarrett also attends major design meetings to assist the team in translating needs and vision into reality.

His rich experience in multi-family, student and senior housing gives him a broad understanding of how people live at all stages of life, resulting in many award-winning projects. A growing segment that Jarrett enjoys is student housing where he has brought innovative models to Tennessee, Arkansas, Washington, Arizona, and many more states. A notable assignment as architect and design coordinator is Gather Bellingham, a state of the art student design concept on an extremely challenging site, located adjacent to the Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA. The design utilizes a 3 story parking garage, with 5 stories of housing above. Main entry, located on the 6th floor, is accessed via an enclosed pedestrian bridge opening into a lobby with leasing offices.

Jarrett’s involvement in complicated Historic and Adaptive Reuse developments has allowed him to incorporate his passion for the preservation of Historic structures and neighborhoods. His keen understanding of green design ensures that his team develops design solutions that are environmentally responsible. Jarrett is dedicated to sustainability with common sense, cost-effective solutions and he has worked with clients to incorporate green building best practices with little or no additional cost.

Fun Fact

I knew I wanted to be an architect when I was very young and actually drew my first house plan at eight years old. (Unfortunately my brother used it as a place mat so I no longer have it!) The only memory I have about learning about architecture was from Mr. Brady on The Brady Bunch.

Nathan Rosemann, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP

Nathan established the Denver, Colorado, office in 2013. As the Denver Studio Director, Nathan is involved in all phases of the design process from entitlements and schematic design through construction administration. He believes that teamwork and upfront communication in the design process is paramount to the success of the project, as every member of the team is highly critical to client satisfaction.

Nathan’s experience ranges from high-end residential, multi-family housing, senior housing, pre-fabricated multi-family housing, and high-performance building systems to historic renovations and virtual integrated project delivery. He received his Bachelor of Architecture with Distinction from the University of Kansas School of Architecture and Design in 2006.

Fun Fact

My twin boys keep me quite busy, but in the rest of my scarce free time, you will find me on a golf course, ski slope, or hiking a 14er.

Scott Rosemann, PE, F.SEI, LEED AP

President/CEO Scott Rosemann oversees and directs the business operations of the firm, including finance and accounting, technology, and human resources. He takes an active role in ensuring that the best Rosemann design team is assigned on each project, regardless of the geographic location. This owner level involvement in staffing of projects promotes our ability to deliver buildings that optimize the resident experience.  

As director of structural engineering, Scott has worked with a variety of systems including structural steel frames, load bearing CMU, light-framed wood systems, light gauge metal systems, as well as cast-in-place and precast concrete systems.

If I could max out a credit card at any store it would be Patagonia.

Donald Rosemann, NCARB, AIA

Don Roseman, Founding Partner, started Rosemann & Associates, P.C. in 1987 with the promise of putting clients and employees first, and the mission to be good stewards of all housing project types, across evolving lifestyles.  His dedication to designing place and focus on inspiring community, created the solid foundation that still exists at Rosemann today.

Going beyond architectural design, Don has become a trusted advisor with housing developers and owners through all steps of the development cycle.  He is a well-versed consultant on the intricate details of tax credit deals to complex government relations and compliance requirements.

Additionally, Don has dedicated his time to help local organizations focused on enriching lives including Habitat for Humanity and Universal Design. 

Fun Fact

Working collectively with a team to create spaces for people to live has always been a part of my inner soul. When not enjoying the work I love to do every day, I enjoy time with family and a great golf course.
