Honoring Service. Creating Space for Healing.

Kansas City, MO – On Friday, June 13, 2025, community leaders, veterans, and supporters gathered at 3818 Chelsea Drive to celebrate the official groundbreaking of Patriot Park, a powerful new addition to the St. Michael’s Veterans Center (SMVC) campus.

Designed as a space for reflection, connection, and community, Patriot Park will honor veterans from all branches of the armed forces. Located just steps from the Kansas City VA Medical Center, the park will offer a tranquil setting for both residents and visitors to gather, remember, and heal.

“Patriot Park will be a landmark for this campus and the city,” said Rosemann Project Manager Edward English, “a place to remember military service and reflect on its meaning for all of us.”

The ceremony marked the beginning of Phase III of SMVC’s campus development. This final phase includes a four-story residential building with 62 total one- and two-bedroom units, expanding the center’s mission of providing safe, supportive housing for veterans who are homeless or disabled.

As architect for phases I, II, and now III, Rosemann & Associates, PC, is proud to play a role in shaping this important resource for Kansas City’s veterans.
