Amethyst Place

Amethyst Place is a 66-unit, two-phased affordable multifamily housing expansion in Kansas City, MO, that represents a major milestone in the organization’s 25-year mission to support women and children overcoming generational trauma, substance use, and housing insecurity. Built with purpose and designed with compassion, the project delivers two levels of supportive housing, combining safe, stable homes with vital wraparound services.

Key indoor amenities include a household pantry, wellness center, recovery coaching rooms, and spaces for youth and adult empowerment programs. Outdoor features such as a secure playground, family gathering areas, and green space foster connection and holistic healing.

The development team was led by a collaborative and women-led group of professionals deeply aligned with Amethyst Place’s values. Rosemann & Associates, P.C. served as the design architect and interior designer, emphasizing trauma-informed, human-centered design.

Level II Supportive Housing includes 25 apartment-style homes with shared amenities, while Level III Supportive Housing offers 7 spacious townhomes with private entries for graduates seeking greater independence.

Amethyst Place was funded by a successful capital campaign blending tax credits, public and private grants, and individual donations.
