Greenwood Senior Apartments
Kansas City, MO

Greenwood Senior Housing now stands on the former site of Greenwood Elementary School, a neighborhood landmark built in 1906 and active until 1997. While the school was demolished, the historic retaining wall remains as a tribute to the past.
The 49-unit, three-story L-shaped community sits on 6.2 acres. Its red brick façade, stone parapets, and panel detailing echo the original school’s character.

Inside, the first floor includes the leasing office, seating, mail kiosk, and a community room with kitchenette and three-season porch. The second floor offers a computer lounge and sitting area, while the third floor provides a cards and crafts room.

Spacious one- and two-bedroom layouts feature modern finishes. Type A units include two bedrooms, stacked washer/dryer, breakfast bar, full bath, and generous closets. Type B units offer C-shaped kitchens, accessible baths, and in-unit laundry.
