MorningStar Senior Living broke ground on October 19, 2026 on its first facility in Johnson County, Kansas, near West 137th Street and Nall Avenue. MorningStar of Leawood will offer top-tier assisted living and memory care services in a two-story, ±103,000-square-foot building on four acres. It includes 73 assisted living units and 30 memory care units, featuring diverse apartment options and single-occupancy memory care units.
Designed by Rosemann & Associates, P.C., the exterior shows high-end materials and elegant design, while the interiors feature modern finishes like quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and vinyl plank flooring.
Residents will enjoy amenities such as on-site dining, transportation services, wellness programs, and 24-hour staffing. Luxury features include a living room, bistro, game room, beauty salon, art studio, and outdoor patios with sunshades, walking paths, and water features.
The project is a collaborative effort with MorningStar Senior Living, Confluent Development, Russell Construction, Aneka Interiors and several other specialized firms.
