The historic 100+ year old Liggett & Myers Tobacco Warehouse has been transformed into workforce housing for 87 households. The lovely old wood structure is revealed in a variety of studio, one and two bedroom apartments, while the large windows allow both light and full views to Union Station and the beautiful “Meeting of the Waters” sculpture. Fronting on Pine Street, with resident access from Chestnut, the building offers ample secured parking as well as access to the new bike lanes along Chestnut.

Challenging the design team to meet historic criteria as well as make the most of this sturdy example of St. Louis’ industrial history, the renovation highlights the building’s design features while providing generous kitchens and intriguing apartment layouts.

The carefully programmed community space encourages residents to entertain, stay fit, and have fun together.
