Yugo Memphis Southern (formerly Gather Southern) is located adjacent to the University of Memphis. This two-phase design incorporated 264 student apartments in phase I and 164 student apartments in phase II ranging from 1 to 4 bedrooms.
The innovative design concept utilizes secured parking at grade on each end of the building. The main entry opens into a small coffee bar area with the office and mail centers adjacent. The building is served by an elevator that exits into a lobby adjacent to amenities at all levels. The residences are accessed via a balcony walk system that surrounds an internal courtyard, containing a pool and recreation area. Also included in the facility is an exercise room, game room and lounge, all overlooking Southern Street and designed to be an active presence on the street.
Bedrooms suites are designed to accommodate full-size furniture. Shared spaces include fully functional kitchens, dining rooms, and laundry space. Each area, including each bedroom suite, has separate card key security.
Desired student amenities include full security system, full Wi-Fi access and social areas enhancing student life.
