Architectural Team

Kearston Breaux

Kearston joined Rosemann’s St. Louis office September 2023. She earned a Masters in Architecture from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA and a Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia, Columbia, MO.

Kearston brings over 8 years of professional work experience. She most recently held the position of Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager at a local design firm where she collaborated with managers and clients to create and execute project plans and timelines and monitored project progress,

At Rosemann Kearston performs CA punch list at site visits, utilizes project management tools to track progress to ensure on time completion and budget control, monitors project life-cycle and facilitates communication between project team members and client.

She holds a comprehensive skill set in the use of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and other design products.

Fun Fact

“I grew up in a tiny town in Illinois where the county is a peninsula. If you want to go anywhere, you either drive north, ride a ferry, or a take the bridge.”

Felix Chan

Felix has professional experience in hospitality architecture. His background includes mountain architecture, renovation/addition work and investigation, and construction administration duties. His construction administration capabilities include responding to requests for information (RFIs), reviewing submittals, and participating in Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings and site visits.

His mountain architecture experience includes contributing on a luxury alpine village consisting of high rise condo, hotel, and skier service podium totaling up to approximately 1 million square feet.

Felix uses many tools to assist his project team from concept through construction. These include BIM modeling, such as Revit, as well as Revu Bluebeam, Microsoft suite and Adobe CC products. He is also adept at additional 3D modeling tools such as Rhinoceros and Sketchup.

Fun Fact
Prior to joining Rosemann or having any senior living experience, I have worked at Windcrest in Colorado as a server during high school.  

Carson Sevart

Carson Sevart joined Rosemann & Associates, P.C. in the Summer of 2023 as a summer intern. He joins us again this year for an extended 7-month internship as a part of The University of Kansas’ Social Entrepreneurship Final Year Option. He will graduate from the University of Kansas with a Master of Architecture in the Spring of 2025. While at KU, he traveled and studied abroad in Seoul, South Korea, and Tokyo, Japan, and was able to explore traditional Japanese and Korean housing.

At Rosemann, Carson works with the project team to create living spaces while gaining exposure to the diverse range of projects at Rosemann. As he progresses toward licensure, Carson enjoys gaining experience in all aspects of design, particularly when facing new challenges with each project.

Anne Murigi

Anne Murigi joined our architectural team in Atlanta, Georgia in October. She is a graduate of Kennesaw State University.

Anne gained experience in industrial and multi-family design while employed as an assistant project manager and BIM captain at a previous firm where she completed a variety of projects including CMU and hollow core plank construction in Naples, Florida, along with typical wood construction, townhomes, and wrap projects in Charleston, South Carolina. Anne has completed projects from schematic design to construction administration, while also mentoring junior staff and providing solutions to software queries.

At Rosemann, Anne drafts elevations, floor plans, and general building codes and works closely with clients and stakeholders of a project to make sure that the design meets their requirements. She liaises with project managers to prepare budgets and ensure timely completion of projects. She also maintains up-to-date knowledge of construction and architectural procedures and employs this information in planning, coordination, and design.

Anne is skilled in ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Bluebeam and Revit.

I love traveling, but hate flying.

Jack Young

Jack Young joined Rosemann’s Kansas City office in the summer of 2022. He is a graduate of The University of Kansas with a Master of Architecture. During his time at KU, he studied abroad in London and Paris. In his last year, he participated in the design-build graduate program, helping to design and build a sustainable, single-family home in Lawrence, KS.

While participating in the design-build graduate program at The University of Kansas, Jack learned invaluable skills and lessons in building design and practicality including seeing the entire building process, from design work to concrete flatwork and finish carpentry.

At Rosemann, Jack helps with maintaining project files and conducting research on construction sites such as zoning laws and regulations. Jack collaborates with other designers and communicates with people inside and outside the company. He sees each project through all stages, while maintaining the client relationship. He is skilled at creating 3D models of designs in computer modeling programs such as AutoCAD or SketchUp and he is at ease with Revit, as well as Photoshop, Bluebeam, and InDesign.

Fun Fact

After being unrecruited in high school, I decided to try out for the track team at KU. I went on to run division one track and cross country for four years, earning all-big 12 honors twice.

Ashley Hicks

Rosemann is excited to welcome our newest staff member Ashley Hicks who joined our St. Louis architectural team in April 2022. She is originally from the St Louis area. Ashley holds a master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas.

Prior to Rosemann, Ashley had several years of experience working on large scale projects for hotels and resorts. She also brings a wealth of experience designing student housing, multifamily projects, and historical restoration. She is currently working towards her architect licensure for the state of Missouri.

Fun Fact

My “Under the Tuscan Sun” experience was shoveling dirt and mixing and pouring concrete. I spent part of a summer living in medieval castle in Italy, while renovating a medieval barn, restored a terra cotta roof and built dry stone masonry walls. It was definitely an experience of a lifetime.  

Brion Ozim

Brion Ozim joined Rosemann’s architectural team in Atlanta in March 2022. After completing a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia, Brion moved to Atlanta, GA in the summer of 1993, where he completed a graduate degree at Georgia Institute of Technology.

Brion brings over 23 years of experience in the architectural arena and a solid background in facilitating the development of the design and production of construction documents, as well as coordinating the needs of clients, management, technical staff and outside consultants. He has assisted in client relations, permitting and building code management, material specifications, and maintaining quality control.

At Rosemann, Brion answers RFIs and works on blue prints and various construction administration duties, he also makes monthly field visits and writes observation reports. He consults with engineers and contractors to determine the best construction methods and design options and what permits to obtain. Brion uses his extensive hands on skills in AutoCAD, Revit, Proliance and other software programs to create building plans and exceptional detailed products.

Fun Fact

“I spent 6 ½ years in the Atlanta Film & Television Industry as an Office Production Assistant and Production Secretary on various projects including the Disney Film “The Odd Life of Timothy Green”, Season 2 & 3 of AMC’s “The Walking Dead”, “Dumb & Dumber Too” and CW’s “The Originals” a Vampire Diaries spin off.”

Kayla Thomas

Kayla Thomas joined Rosemann’s St. Louis architectural team in December 2021. A native of St. Louis, Kayla graduated from Drury University in Springfield, MO with a Masters of Architecture Design. She has a strong passion for urban planning and mixed-use development. She also loves restoration work.

Prior to employment at Rosemann, Kayla was employed at a local architecture firm where she provided architectural design and planning services centering on creating exceptional healthcare facilities.

At Rosemann, Kayla is responsible for producing complex technical drawings, compiling data for calculations, researching product solutions and specifications, creating standard sheets, modeling existing project conditions in Revit and development of schematic design and construction documents.

Kayla is proficient in Revit, Photoshop, Lumion, InDesign, Illustrator, and Bluebeam. She is currently pursuing architectural licensing in the State of Missouri .

Fun Fact

I learned how to roller skate in 2021 but I never learned how to stop!
